There is no stab resistant body armour garment that is completely impenetrable - this is why our garments are referred to as “resistant” rather than “proof” as all body armour has the ability to be penetrated with a powerful enough force/weapon.
Stab resistant body apparel is resistant to penetration from edged weapons such as knives and other sharp objects. When an instrument attempts to penetrate the body armour garment, the associated forces will cause the tightly woven fibres to conform around the point of the weapon, causing the instrument to dissipate it’s driven energy within the fabric and hence mitigate excessive penetration. The fibres of the garment slows the force of the weapon and can prevent excessive puncture to the flesh of the body.
A cut, slash or stab to your body armour apparel will cause damage to the garment.
Although punctures will not typically damage the integrity of the garments, the damaged fibers will not be as tightly woven - which could make it possible for sharp objects to penetrate the materiel in future. Therefore it is important to take care of your garments and regularly inspect it for damages and excessive wear and tear. Stab resistant body armour garments will only be able to offer maximum protection if it is in the best condition possible.
SRBA ensures our garments are lightweight and breathable for discrete daily use.
The weight of our garments typically ranges between 0.6kg to 1.5kg.
Our stab resistant body garments do not have a shelf life.
Regular inspection of the garment(s) to ensure there are no damages will guarantee maximum protection.
SRBA apparel is manufactured form patented SaintFabric ® UHMWPE fiber reinforced
Composite materials. Each garment is layered with COOLMAX ® wicking fabric and other patented Bamboo fabric.
A resin formed flexible anti-sting fabric and a preparation method thereof:
By combining soft and hard properties, the modified polymer resin particles were
solidified on the base fabric in discrete states to create flexible, antistabbing composite materials.
Stab resistant body apparel is legal to wear in some professions.
Different countries and states will have different laws and regulations regarding the purchasing and use of body apparel.
Though our garments do conform to certain international standards – we make no claim or reference to absolute protection, as there are many factors that can contribute to possible breaches of the material(s).
Therefore we can only offer these garments as “stab and resistant only” apparel.
Our garments can be machine washed.
We recommend washing at a temperature of 30°C or 86°F. Do not bleach or iron and avoid tumble drying. Looking after your garments will ensure optimum lifespan.
SBRA garments have been rigorously tested with a machine that applies a circular spinning blade to our body armour, this runs back and forth until the material rips.
This is known as the EN388 test. The amount of pressure is measured in grams of force, and the result of the testing determines what level of protection the garment will provide. These levels range from level 1, to level 5, with 5 being the highest weight in grams needed to cut the fabric.

SBRA garments have achieved Level 5 protection within these testing trials.
